Meet the Baker

A city and guilds qualified chef, pastry chef and sugar crafter with many years of experience, initially in red star and rosette awarded hotels and for the past ten years as the novelty and wedding cake designer/decorator in a successful local cake shop bakery, I have now decided to cut the travelling and set up on my own!

Being on trend and aware of current cake fashions and the need to be cost competitive are vital parts of my philosophy, both wedding and novelty designs change all the time and being my passion I look forward to discussing clients ideas for both traditional classics and the “ latest thing” , any of which I am happy to make for you

Flavours, texture, quality ingredients and all real butter in my hand bakes cake recipes are an area I take great pride in, other makers I feel often forget the actual cake concentrating mainly on the look. Be assured your special day cake will be commented on as much for its taste as for its design.

 I also bake recipes for gluten free and dairy free cakes if required

Fine, realistic, handmade Sugar flowers (I have hundreds of moulds and can make the flowers you need!), caricature models and all manner of modelled animals, cars, bags, shoes, booze bottles! are all specialities of mine having made lots of these and many great, often fun, items requested by customers over the years , don’t hesitate to ask for your vision in cake, it’s likely very doable!
